Resale Tax Permits

Use the following instructions to complete this form:

1. Is your order being shipped to an address inside the State of Texas?
     YES, go to step 2
NO, your done. We don't collect sales tax on orders shipped out of Texas. You are responsible for tax due in your state.

2. Texas delivery addresses require collection of sales tax unless you are purchasing for resale. Complete this item and add it to your shopping cart to give us your tax number and to verify your sales tax status. We may need you to fax a Resale Certificate to us, but we will call you if that is needed. You can reach us at 512-836-5702 for more information or questions. We are available most days from 10am through 7pm. Central time.

You can check your Texas Sales Tax Permit by visiting the Texas  Comptroller website. Their Taxpayer Search tool allows you to check whether your tax number is active or inactive. Visit the Texas Taxpayer Search Tool to check the status. (Hint: Enter your Tax permit number without any dashes. Leave the other fields blank.)

If your zip code is within Texas, your order will show Texas Sales Tax until we verify your tax permit and remove the sales tax from your order manually.

Texas Resale Certificate
I, the purchaser named on this order, claim the right to make non-taxable purchases for resale of the taxable items described on the attached invoice. The taxable items described on the attached order or invoice, will be resold, rented, or leased by me within the geographical limits of the United States of America, its territories and possessions, or within the geographical limits of the United Mexican States, in their present form or attached to other taxable items to be sold.

I understand that if I make any use of the items other than retention, demonstration or display while holding them for sale, lease or rental, I must pay sales tax on the items at the time of use based upon either the purchase price or the fair market rental value for the period of time used. I understand that it is a criminal offense to give a resale certificate to the seller for taxable items that I know, at the time of purchase, are purchased for use rather than for the purpose of resale, lease, or rental and, depending on the amount of tax evaded, the offense may range from a Class C misdemeanor to a felony of the second degree.

Note: EIN, IRS, or other Federal numbers do not qualify you to complete a resale certificate. You must have a Valid Permit and Resale number from the Texas Comptroller or from another state. Answer the 3 questions using the drop down boxes below. Then Click the "ADD TO CART" Button.
